Artist Gergei Eörtzen went one step further than that little sister: ‘My toy dog ​​can do that too!’ He took a battery-powered cuddly dog ​​that walks around and barks when you turn it on. He attached felt-tip pens to the legs of the pink dog and put the animal on a piece of paper. And look: the dog starts drawing. Interestingly, it doesn’t just scratch the paper. The fixed, repeated movements that the dog makes create a drawing with a rather complicated, beautiful shape.

Gergei Eörtzen actually asks the question whether a machine can also make art. With the title he came up with for this work, he says that the drawing was made by ‘simple stupidity’.
