Two brothers, a bird boy, and the beats of hip hop – dancing together, jumping, not afraid of the dark!
Two brothers are allowed to camp for a night in their parents’ garden. That is fun and exciting. They put up their tent and make a nice camping spot. But what sound do they hear in the dark garden? And what is there in the tree? It is a boy who makes bird sounds. He jumps higher and higher in the air, because he is trying to fly. The bird boy is not scary. The brothers dance and jump with him.
Klein, klein vogeltje is a hip-hop toddler dance performance. Created by choreographer and dancer Giorgio Costa, who plays the eldest brother himself. As a vocational teacher, he was teacher of the year, and knows exactly how to captivate a young audience. The other dancers, Pom Arnold and Remses Rafaela, are just like Costa at home in hip-hop: with jumps, tricks, moves and somersaults they tumble across the stage. Game scenes smoothly transition into dance here. The spectators are completely absorbed in the story. They clap along to the beat, and when there is singing around the campfire, everyone sings along. And because we are all together, we don’t have to be afraid of the dark. ‘The entire audience dances along in this infectious hip-hop performance for toddlers’, wrote the Theaterkrant in an enthusiastic review.
