From 5-14 June 2026 Utrecht will once again transform into a vibrant international showcase for performing and visual arts at Festival Tweetakt. Over the course of 10 days you will discover a surprising mix of performances, art installations and debates. Don’t miss out!
Tweetakt offers an exclusive look into the future of theatre for young people with work from renowned Dutch companies and exciting international work.
Theater Kikker is the meeting place for audience, artists and performers. Here you will encounter various visual arts projects and are invited to participate in meetings, debates, Q&A’s, workshops and end the evenings with dancing and dj’s.
At Fort Ruigenhoek, heritage site exclusively opened for the festival, we present our visual arts programme immersed in nature alongside many outdoor performances.
Other programming will take place in the Stadsschouwburg, Podium Hoge Woerd and on special locations in and around Utrecht.
The full programme will be made public in Q1 2026. It will then be possible to order a passe-partout.
