De Doodsbange Discobal is a theatrical, funky song programme about wanting to make yourself small. Or very big. In a series of groovy, joyfully disruptive songs, Mats Hoogland explores what it really means to stand out. Whether you should run away from it, whether you should celebrate it. Actor and theatre‑maker Mats Hoogland graduated in 2024 from the Amsterdam Academy of Theatre and Cabaret. He writes, produces and performs musical theatre productions. He created this youth performance especially for Festival Tweetakt, together with composer Lucas Vermeer and three funk musicians.
