Completely going wild with happiness. In that sensation, a single dancer captivates the entire audience.
Quim Bigas starts his outdoor performance right in the middle of the gathered spectators. Gradually, he takes up space with his portrayals of total happiness, which he joyfully throws himself into. Cheering like a madman at a goal by your favourite football club. Completely losing yourself in the most beautiful pop song. Jumping around like crazy to a beat that demands it. Playing the crowd as if you were a famous artist. A voice you hear whips up the audience. It is so energetic and contagious that everyone is cheering and jumping within no time.
The Spanish dancer and choreographer has been performing this solo performance for ten years all over Europe. Everywhere, he enchants people with it. For him, it is an act of resistance against the commerce that suggests you will only become happy when you buy things, or a new car. He collected well‑known expressions of supreme happiness and made them his own. Taking pleasure in recognisable movements and actions, he conveys that happiness is something you can easily reach, especially when you experience it together.
